Tiny Universe Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Emperor Royal Studios (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Android application or web version of Tiny Universe (the “Game”).

Tiny Universe can be played using a local device save without creating a cloud account. Google sign-in, cloud saving, leaderboards, purchases, and rewarded advertising are optional features.

1. Summary

Local game progress and preferences are stored on your device.
If you use Google cloud saving, account and game data are processed through Firebase.
Google Play processes payments; we do not receive your full payment-card or bank details.
Optional rewarded ads use Google AdMob and Google’s consent tools.
The Android Player build uses Firebase Crashlytics for stability diagnostics.
You can request deletion in the Game or through our public account-deletion page.
We do not sell personal information.

2. Information stored locally

Tiny Universe stores progress and preferences on your device. This can include currencies, producer levels, upgrades, prestige progress, missions, Stars, Paradox progress, Ascension progress, statistics, cosmetics, Premium Coin balances, tutorial state, notification preferences, audio and accessibility settings, recent activity, save revisions, and a locally generated app-specific device identifier.

Local data is not uploaded to Emperor Royal Studios unless you choose an online feature that needs it, such as cloud saving, purchase verification, leaderboard submission, a protected reward, or support. You can remove local data by using the in-game Hard Reset option, clearing the app’s storage, or uninstalling the Game.

3. Google sign-in and cloud saving

If you connect Google cloud saving, we may process:

Account details: Google-provided email address, display name, profile image when available, and Firebase Authentication user ID.
Tiny Universe profile: your selected unique username, username-reservation record, avatar, frame, title, name style, and cloud-link status.
Game and save data: complete game progress, currencies, upgrades, settings, statistics, missions, Stars, Paradox and Ascension progress, recent activity, inbox records, purchase entitlements, and up to three user-created Recovery Points.
Synchronization and security data: app-specific device and session IDs, save revisions, timestamps, hashes, app version, save-schema version, pending-upload state, and conflict-resolution records.
Service data: IP address, user-agent information, request metadata, and security logs processed by Google/Firebase to authenticate users, operate cloud services, prevent abuse, and protect requests.

4. Public and competitive features

If you submit to leaderboards or competitions, public displays may include your Tiny Universe username, selected score or progression value, rank, division or group, and submission timestamp. Public displays do not show your email address, Firebase user ID, cloud-save contents, Premium Coin balance, raw purchase information, or ad-reward history.

Deleting your cloud account removes associated Tiny Universe leaderboard and competition entries as described on the account-deletion page.

5. Google Play purchases and subscriptions

Tiny Universe uses Google Play Billing for one-time Premium Coin packs, cosmetics, the permanent No Ads entitlement, and the recurring Cosmic Membership subscription. Google Play processes payment details. Emperor Royal Studios does not receive or store your full credit-card or bank-account number.

For verification, fraud prevention, exact-once crediting, restoration, and subscription lifecycle management, we may process your Firebase user ID, product ID, Google Play order ID, purchase time and state, quantity, acknowledgement status, entitlement type, subscription state, base-plan identifier, expiration time, and a protected verification record derived from the purchase token. A purchase token may be stored in protected server records and transmitted securely to Google Play so the Game can refresh, acknowledge, restore, or revoke the corresponding entitlement. Google Play Real-time Developer Notifications may notify our backend when subscription status changes.

6. Rewarded ads and advertising privacy

The Android Player build offers optional Google AdMob rewarded ads. Without No Ads or an active Cosmic Membership, an ad is requested only after you choose to watch one for a production boost or Daily Free Coin. With either verified entitlement, the same buttons can grant their normal rewards instantly without requesting an ad; the server still enforces the Daily Free Coin limit. Google and participating advertising partners may process information such as IP address and approximate location, app interactions, ad views and taps, diagnostic or performance information, advertising ID, app-set ID, and other device or account identifiers for ad delivery, measurement, security, fraud prevention, and—where permitted—personalization.

Tiny Universe uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to show privacy messages where required. When Google indicates that a privacy-options entry point is required, you can reopen it from Account → Options → Privacy & Legal → Ad Privacy Choices. Android settings may also allow you to reset or delete the advertising ID.

7. Crash and stability diagnostics

The Android Player build uses Firebase Crashlytics to help diagnose crashes, application-not-responding events, and nonfatal stability problems. Crashlytics may process stack traces, device manufacturer and model, operating-system and app versions, installation identifiers, timestamps, and limited structured breadcrumbs such as the current screen, save schema, cloud-revision state, pending-upload state, performance preset, and recent non-sensitive stability events.

We do not intentionally include your cloud-save contents, email address, Google credentials, raw purchase tokens, or payment information in custom diagnostic breadcrumbs. Tiny Universe does not include Firebase Analytics or Firebase Performance Monitoring.

8. Notifications and reminders

If you grant Android notification permission and enable reminders, Tiny Universe may schedule local device notifications for events such as the Daily Free Coin reset or expiration of a temporary 2× boost. Reminder preferences and schedules are stored locally. Tiny Universe does not use Firebase Cloud Messaging for remote marketing notifications.

9. How we use information

Provide local and cloud saving and synchronize progress across devices.
Authenticate accounts and protect account ownership.
Operate usernames, public rankings, competitions, missions, rewards, and Recovery Points.
Verify purchases, restore entitlements, prevent duplicate credits, and reduce fraud or abuse.
Serve optional rewarded ads and honor applicable advertising privacy choices.
Diagnose crashes and maintain the Game’s reliability and security.
Process support, privacy, and account-deletion requests.
Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We use Google services including Google Sign-In, Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions for Firebase, Firebase Hosting, Firebase Crashlytics, Google Play Billing, Google AdMob, and Google User Messaging Platform. These providers process information to provide their services and under their own applicable terms and privacy documentation.

We do not sell personal information. Advertising-related data may be shared with Google and advertising partners as needed to request, measure, secure, and serve ads. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the Game, to investigate fraud or abuse, or in connection with a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.

11. Security

Data transmitted between Tiny Universe, Firebase, and Google services is protected in transit using HTTPS/TLS. Cloud access is restricted using Firebase Authentication, server-side validation, and Firestore Security Rules. No system is completely secure, but we use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information.

12. Retention

Local data remains on your device until you reset it, clear app storage, or uninstall the Game. Cloud data is retained while your cloud account is active or as needed to provide the Game. Recovery Points are limited to three and remain until overwritten or deleted by you.

When you schedule in-app deletion, your cloud account enters a 72-hour cancellation period. During that period, protected cloud writes and certain account actions are paused. After the cancellation period, a protected server process deletes the associated Tiny Universe authentication account and server data. Limited logs, fraud-prevention records, legal records, or encrypted backups may remain temporarily where reasonably necessary or required by law or by a service provider’s independent retention obligations.

13. Your choices and rights

Play using a local save without linking Google cloud saving.
Disconnect cloud saving and continue locally.
Choose whether to watch rewarded ads.
Manage available ad privacy choices from Account → Options when the button is shown.
Choose whether to grant Android notification permission and enable local reminders.
Delete Recovery Points in the Game.
Schedule or cancel account deletion from Account → Account → Delete Account.
Request account deletion without the Game through our public deletion page.
Contact us to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of information, where applicable.

14. Teens, adults, and children

Tiny Universe is intended for teens and adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it. Users under the age of legal majority should use the Game only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

15. International processing

Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where Google, Firebase, Emperor Royal Studios, or their service providers operate. Those countries may have data-protection laws different from those where you live.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Tiny Universe, our service providers, or applicable requirements change. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when appropriate.
